Dr. Chia Chi Kao

Dr. Chia Chi Kao, MD, is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon based in Santa Monica, California. He founded the KAO Center and developed the Ponytail Lift™ and Ponytail Facelift™ procedures. His clinical work includes endoscopic facial rejuvenation, facial fat grafting, rhinoplasty, and aesthetic breast and body surgery. His facial surgery approach emphasizes tissue preservation and the use of endoscopic techniques. Dr. Kao earned his medical degree and completed general surgery training at the University of Washington. He subsequently trained in video endoscopic surgery, undertook a craniofacial fellowship at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan, and completed plastic and reconstructive surgery training at the University of Southern California.
